PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE (updated September 3rd, 2011)
Hello Parents, Coaches and Players,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 Winter basketball season. The time between seasons has gone by fast and it is time to begin our new season. I hope you had a relaxing off- season because it is time for some exciting basketball.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Derek McGee and I have the privilege of serving as your Chapter Director and President for the 2011-2012 season. To the returning players, I would like to welcome you back for another exciting season and for those of you who are new to our chapter, I would like to welcome you to the best chapter in NJB.
The off-season has been very busy for our chapter: Here are some recent changes within our Chapter:
1) The Chapter has partnered with La Verne/San Dimas Chapter which now includes the following cities: Glendora, Charter Oak, Claremont, and Azusa. This new partnership with the La Verne/San Dimas Chapter will now give us more Divisional league gym time in the San Gabriel Valley.
2) Last year, our program for Divisions 1, 2 and 3 female players were at an all time low, so this year we will only have girls divisions 2 and 3. As a Chapter, I would like to see a four team increase of players.
This rapidly growing chapter can not function without the hard work of dedicated board members like our first year President Tony Vega and family. I want to thank those individuals who will be serving on the board for the upcoming season. The GNJB Board is now looking for new volunteers to join our 2011-2012 Board and we currently have a few positions available. If you are interested in being on the Board and making a valuable contribution to this chapter, please contact me @ gnjb.chapter@gmail.com asap.

GNJB CHAPTER is a non-profit organization which operates a youth basketball program for boys and girls in grades 1st-12th. Our primary goal is to teach children the fundamentals of basketball and good sportsmanship. Our players come from Glendora, Claremont, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Ontario, Montclair, Charter Oak, Azusa, La Verne, San Dimas and Pomona.
We are a 100% volunteer organization relying on the help of parents and community support to keep our program running. Our chapter was founded in 2010 and has grown to 100 plus players.
